About

About Me
I was born in Manchester England in 1969, but moved to more rural surroundings in the south of the city as a youngster.

Ever since I was a boy, I have always had a love of the great outdoors. In my childhood days I would often set off in search of adventure and explore local woodland and farms close to my home.
I loved the sense of isolation that those places gave me and I was at that early age fascinated by the wildlife that was on offer.

Now a good few years older, my passion for nature is even stronger and while I still like to explore the local woodlands and farms, my horizons have broadened somewhat and I now travel many miles across the UK photographing the wildlife I encounter.

Although I like to explore new pastures, a great deal of my photography takes place not far from my home in Stockport, just south of Manchester and I'm very lucky to live on the doorstep of the Peak District National Park.

After many years of being a user of Nikon cameras and lenses, I moved over to the Lumix mirrorless system in 2019 and I feel that this move has benefitted my photography as a result.
