All workshops are customised for the individual clients needs.
Please contact me to book or for further information.
Winter Red Grouse Workshop
January-March 2024
Join me on the high moorland of the Peak District National Park as we photograph the iconic and charismatic Red grouse.
Winter is a fantastic time to capture these lovely birds in their natural habitat especially if we're lucky enough to have snow on the ground when the Red Grouses' wonderful plumage stands out beautifully against the white backdrop.
On this workshop I will share my techniques and knowledge of fieldcraft to show you how to get close to these often skittish moorland birds, hopefully allowing you to capture some excellent images.
I will of course be on hand to offer any advice on camera settings and composition, as well as sharing some tips along the way.
£95 per person 6-8 hours

Spring/Summer Moorland Birds
May-July 2024
This workshop takes place on the stunning high moorland of the Peak District National Park at peak time for capturing breeding ground-nesting birds in this beautiful environment.
The moors have a very special character at this time of year and while the heather is yet to bloom, the landscape is awash with Hares-Tailed Cotton Grass providing a lovely backdrop for images.
Species we might be lucky enough to encounter include Golden Plover, Skylark, Ring Ouzel, Curlew, Meadow Pipit as well as Hen Harrier and other raptors.
Of course there will also be the iconic Red Grouse which live on these moors all year round.
As well as advice on composition and camera settings, I will be sharing the fieldcraft skills needed to successfully capture wildlife in this challenging environment.
